WHAT HAPPENED?
Once plying their trade in Serie D just half a decade ago, Como achieved a remarkable feat by earning promotion to Serie A following a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Cosenza on the final day of the Serie B season.
Henry, who is a stakeholder at Como, cheered from the stands as Fabregas' troops fought for promotion. After the match, the former Chelsea midfielder breathed fire into the dressing room with a motivational speech as he warned the players of the rigours of Serie A before welcoming them to a trip to Ibiza.

WHAT FABREGAS SAID
"First of all, congratulations, you truly had a season of champions," Fabregas started.
"I know that today we didn't finish in the way that we perhaps wanted, by winning. Tomorrow training at 10.
"But one thing I have to say before we go out there with all our fans, thank you, but be strong, because this year is nothing. This is only the warm-up. Next year: more efficiency, more work. And like how I promised and you guys wanted…Do you want to go to Ibiza?"

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Como's journey to Serie A has been nothing short of remarkable. Promoted from Serie D in 2019, the club transitioned to a professional setup that same year and went on to clinch the Serie C title in 2021. After two seasons of consolidation in Serie B, including a respectable 13th-place finish in 2023, Como culminated their remarkable rise with a spectacular promotion to the top flight in 2024.
